Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed with regard to the substantial quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA sassa services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The provider point developed for intervention ordeals a high influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tough to the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to empower the servicing of all customers and improve use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
